Remedy Making Retreat | Deep Cleanse, Nourish & Restore
Langcliffe Hall Spring Retreat
Thu 6th May - Sun 9th May 2027
Thu 13th May - Sun 16th May 2027
As the earth awakens, join us for a weekend devoted to cleansing, restoration and renewal. This is a time to pause, release the heaviness of winter, and gently return to balance - body, mind and spirit.
I am delighted to be collaborating once again with the beautiful Charlotte from NOURISH HQ at her magnificent home, LANGCLIFFE HALL, in the stunning Yorkshire Dales - for our SPRING EDITION remedy making retreat.
With an extra emphasis on CLEANSING and HEALING the gut microbiome, we’ll be learning about natural food and remedies to support this. Releasing the heaviness of winter, supporting detoxification and nourishing the body with many grounding and eliminating herbs.
We’ll be spending as much time outdoors as possible, embracing the vibration, light and renewal energy of Spring as we connect with the earth. We’ll be foraging for wild garlic and nettles and learning how to preserve these goodies all year round; picking herbs from the medicine gardens to make our own fresh herbal tea infusions; enjoying essential oil workshops under the cherry blossom (weather permitting!); and taking time to walk up the hill for a drumming session, or maybe catch a sunset.
I’ll also be sharing my knowledge and empowering you on how to heal and support your digestive system and reduce inflammation by creating your own APPLE CIDER VINEGAR INFUSION. Charlotte will help you explore your Ayurvedic constitution and teach you how to make remedies and foods to support your unique self.
There’ll also be daily tea meditations with myself, and daily breath-work and movement sessions with Charlotte, along with an abundance of nourishing food and drinks from the land around us - prepared with love by both of us.
Everything is optional and the usual deep nourish, nurturing and rest will balance you along the way. We believe this really is the best way to Re-Treat yourself this Spring!

About Charlotte & Myself
I discovered Charlotte and Langcliffe Hall, through complete serendipity. After hearing that her Retreat Remedies apple cider vinegar order had arrived damaged, I decided to deliver a replacement in person myself. We hit it off immediately and have been firm friends ever since.
I started to visit for one-to-one breathwork sessions with Charlotte - which were so special, and I just loved being able to visit Langcliffe Hall. It soon became my happy healing place, with all of its grandeur and history, but also with her energy of strength and safety. Yep, I’m talking about the Hall here - I feel it’s a ‘she’, as it has always been passed down the female line. She has soft, yet strong energy around her, as do the hills she sits within.
However Charlotte’s energy is much the same, with a real angelic quality. She is wise beyond her years and has an aura of grace around her. Her complete devotion to faith, and her fun personality, makes her really quite rare and special in my eyes - so there is no one I would rather be offering this retreat alongside.
Not only is Charlotte a talented Ayurvedic practitioner and yoga and breath work teacher, she also facilitates medicine-making workshops - sharing how to create tinctures and oils with plants cultivated by herself in her very own walled medicine garden.
Alongside my knowledge of herbal tea blending, nutritional remedies, my love for essential oils and creating natural remedies for the skin, we knew our combined gifts would make for the perfect retreat. The only problem was wondering how to fit it all in! As of course we also want our guests to have plenty of downtime for rest and relaxation, along with nourishment through food.
After many exciting conversations, we created this series of seasonal Remedy Retreats, where we get to share our joint passion for natural living, healthy nourishing foods, as well as our combined knowledge of herbal medicine and remedies. A truly holistic experience!
A little piece of heaven
Location
This discreet and private Hall sits on the edge of the picturesque village of Langcliffe, with views over the hall grounds and parkland, leading to the charming market town of Settle. Drive through the grand gates and arrive at the beautiful frontage of Langcliffe Hall. Enter through the ancient oak doors into the impressive main hallway with oak panelled walls and enter into another world. The hall is like stepping into another era where things were quiter, slower and allow the world outside to disappear.
Langcliffe Hall is a grade II listed Jacobean manor house nestled in the dramatic hills of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Surrounded by formal gardens, wildflower meadows, woodlands, and a productive organic kitchen garden and medicine garden, Langcliffe Hall is not a Retreat Venue, it is a home and this is what makes it feel so special. It has a real hug energy to the place and it loves being filled, it is most certainly the special ingredient to our winning formula. It has a fairytale like quality, with no shortage of trailing roses, and meandering paths.
The house dates back to 1602 and has remained in Charlotte’s family for over 400yrs. Still very much a home, the house is cosy, full of history and authentic charm. Expect luxurious bedrooms, beds you will sink in to, oak panelled living rooms, wood burning stoves, hot baths and plenty of quiet nooks to sit back with a book or your journal.

MOVEMENT BREATHWORK
Charlotte has been teaching yoga and pranayama (breathwork) for over ten years and has found them to be the most transformative practices for healing the nervous system, regulating the emotions, and shifting stagnation out of the body. She specialises in helping you find calm, clarity, and inner balance through the power of guided breathwork and meditation. We will have immersive practices, beginning with gentle connective breathing, moving into more vigorous, stimulating breaths, and then bringing everything back down to softness, finding deep stillness and quiet. We will move through intuitive, luxurious yoga practices that are gentle, restorative and suitable for all levels.

We will be focusing on cleansing remedies to support the spring energy. A real focus and supportive remedies for the gut and liver both cleansing and healing. This is one of the man pillars of good hormone and digestive health. ‘We are not what we eat but what we digest’ You will be going home not only with a full cupboard of homemade remedies, but with the knowledge, confidence and inspiration to turn to nature for your healing.
